I became tired and sluggish. I walked as if I carried the all the ills of the world on my shoulders. I would walk up the stairs or try to put on a pair of shoes or go grocery shopping and would start wheezing like the Harmattan winds of sub-Saharan Africa.
I avoided mirrors and scales. But that did not stop the fat from developing around my neck, hips, thighs, shoulders and upper arms. There were stretch marks on my boobies, abdomen and buttocks.
My sugar addiction was destroying my life, one sweet at a time. I needed to do something, and I seemed unable to stop myself. I was addicted.
Luckily, I found a way out. I attribute it all to one simple thing. In fact, this simple thing was the reason I wrote this book.
