You can test to be a police officer, pass the hiring process to be a police officer, and tell everyone that you want to be a police officer. But, you will never be a police officer until you get through me. I am the academy instructor. Instructors are the best of the best. We have already completed most of the challenges that lay ahead for you. We have also proven ourselves on the streets, and know what it takes to survive. I will tell you what you need to know in order to be successful at a police academy as well as help you understand the riggers of training that you will endure. I refuse to baby you, so I will be very straight forward. The streets are tough, and so are the instructors. The police academy is sacred. Some of the bravest people I have ever met have given their lives in the line of duty. I refuse to tarnish their honor by allowing someone that is not prepared to fill their shoes.
