For Asgard: Loki's Tale Part One
It is a tale known well. The tale of the trickster. The Liesmith. The god of lies and chaos. The bringer of Ragnarok and the downfall of the gods.
It is a tale untrue.
Eons after Loki is bound up by the Norse gods under the earth of Midgard for the murder of Baldr, two human's, Julia Wilder and Tim Baker, exploring uncharted cave systems, find him. Horrified by the torture he's endured, they free him, knowing nothing of his true identity.
Freed at last, Loki finds himself within a modern world, resembling nothing of the world he once knew. His own family murdered, and betrayed by the very ones he had once sworn loyalty to, he is alone and lost, but for the two mortals who deigned to show him kindness.
Yet also does Loki know the other gods will not let him be. That they will come for him. For he is foretold to be the end of all things, and Odin, All-Father, King of all the gods, will stop at nothing to ensure that end.
