Marcie Jackson and her friend, ex-cop Rachael Mackey, go out to Los Angeles to help out a college friend, Jason Conway, who has been accused of murder. When they go to his girlfriends house to pickup a packet that Jason wanted them to have, they find she has been murdered. They go to his condo and immediately know something is wrong. He is living above his means. They begin finding clues of what Jason has been up to. First they find ancient artifacts in Jason's condo, then they find more in a downtown office and the webpage that sells them. They know Jason is a part of this theft ring, but they know he didn't organize it. It becomes a race to find who is behind the illegal importing and get him stopped before he runs.
