Cicero: A Legamus Transitional Reader: Teacher's Guide (Latin Edition)
The Legamus Transitional Readers are innovative texts that form a bridge between the initial study of Latin via basal textbooks and the reading of authentic author texts. This series of texts has been developed by a special committee of high school and college teachers to facilitate this challenging transition. Cicero: A LEGAMUS Transitional Reader Teacher’s Guide assists teachers as they introduce their students to Cicero’s distinctive Latin style through selections from his Pro Archia. The Teacher’s Guide makes introducing students to Cicero’s Pro Archia more manageable for teachers. Features: • Translations of each Latin passage following the “pass through†method and culminating in a complete translation of the full passage • Answers to grammar and vocabulary exercises • Range of possible answers for analysis questions • Suggestions of websites for deeper exploration of select topics Mark Haynes holds an MA in Classical Languages from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
