In the bitter cold of mid-January, nineteen people found themselves on an uninhabited shore with no shelter or food. They chose Henry Norwood as their leader. Eventually Indians from the mainland found the castaways and carried them to a nearby village. A strange meeting of different cultures became part of the heritage of both.
Norwood's own comments and descriptions are combined with research and illustrated with original drawings and maps by the author.
