Newly revised for the start of the 2019-2020 NBA season, Anthony Davis: The Incredible Story of One of Basketball's Most Dynamic Power Forwards details the inspirational story of basketball's star, Anthony Davis. This unauthorized biography of Anthony Davis highlights his fast rise into the role of a superstar. The drafting of Anthony Davis by the New Orleans Pelicans completely redefined the franchise, as the Pelicans continued to improve year after year since Davis entered the league. However, things did not work out over time in New Orleans as management was unable to put the pieces needed around Davis to make deep playoff runs; before long, Davis requested a trade. In the summer of 2019, the Pelicans honored his request, trading Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers to play alongside LeBron James.
Read on to learn about Anthony Davis’ journey into the league, to his college year at Kentucky leading them to a National Championship before ultimately propelling into the NBA.

An excerpt from the book:
The power forward has always been one of the NBA's most unique positions because there was never a precise definition of what players in that role were supposed to do. Back in the days of Wilt and Bill, power forwards were the smaller versions of centers. They rebounded and scored inside the paint but not to the extent that centers were supposed to.
As time passed, power forwards became pseudo-centers in the sense that they were asked to do things that centers could do but were also tasked to do so much more. Some say that players such as Karl Malone and Charles Barkley redefined that role because they could play down low at the post and had the occasional perimeter game. Because they were more mobile and agile than most power forwards, it became a trend for power forwards to be more athletic and skilled than any other big men. Power forwards evolved even further when players such as Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, and Dirk Nowitzki took over the league.
For the majority of his career, Garnett was well-known because of his versatility. With his length and athleticism, he looked like a center with the skills of a small forward. Garnett could play from the perimeter with his sweet jump shot and was also an adept player in the paint. He went on to win a championship and numerous other individual awards as one of the best players to play at his position.
