Mr. McCarthy, Sr., and his family moved to Suriname SA to work for the ALCOA subsidiary of SURALCO. They lived there for four years. In 1970 his wife and children vacationed in Costa Rica while he vacationed on this "journey into another world." This is the story of his travels on the border of Suriname and Brazil.

About the Author
Terrence J. McCarthy, Sr., has been married for sixty years. He is the father of twelve children and father-in-law to ten, and has forty-two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. McCarthy has been a member of the Secular Franciscan Order for over fifty years. In 2006 he and his wife, Thecla, received the Family of the Year Award from the National Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order. He has a commercial pilot license and has been a member of the National Rifle Association since 1948. This is his second book.
