10 Agorot coin is one of New Israeli Sheqel (NIS) coin series, also known as simply the Israeli shekel (sign: ₪, code: ILS). Israeli agorot and shekel are the currency of Israel and also used as a legal tender in the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The 10 agorot coin has been in use since 1985.
Composition: 92% copper, 6% aluminum and 2% nickel. The coin weighs 4 grams, 22 mm in diameter, 1.5 mm thickness. Edge: smooth.
Obverse: replica of a coin issued by Antigonus II Mattathias with the seven-branched candelabrum, the state emblem (menorah), "Israel" in Hebrew, Arabic and English.
Reverse: value in Hebrew and English, date in Hebrew (please note: since we have more than one of these items in stock, actual coins issue date may vary from picture).
